Why is Black history important?

3/2/2013

Our history is important to know so that we can measure how far we have advanced in society and also we can repeat what works and avoid what does not work for us.

Annie Malone is certainly an unsung Hero and deserves to be recognized for her contribution to The Beauty Industry, her accomplishments and philosophy should be exposed and added to the current curriculum as a pioneer. as a natural Hair Professional i believe that the NATURAL HAIR REVOLUTION is the perfect stage to re-introduce ANNIE to the Industry. thank you so much for creating this opportunity and i look forward to contributing in any and every way that i can for the success of this en-devour!! BLESS

I agree with you, Queen. Annie Malone is one of perhaps thousands of unsung heroes, each whom deserves recognition for his/her accomplishments. Whose responsibility is it to tell their stories? It is our duty to make sure that history is recorded as accurately as possible for our future generations.

Annie Malone was an amazing woman that uplifted many black women and men. She also offered many scholarships to many young men and women to black colleges that helped to improve their quality of life. My question to your organization is what are your plans on helping our young black men and women in our society today?
